COLOURS AND MATERIALS
This client wanted a natural feel to their house, using soft contemporary colours but also the use of wood for doors, floors and windows.
We designed the interior colours so they would enhance the feeling of light and space in the house, using soft shades of coffee, cream, chocolate and white.
This gave a warm contemporary feel, whilst also providing an ideal backdrop for the solid woods that we used around the house. The client wanted solid oak internal doors, and because the house was built with three floors, these had to comply with fire regulations.
These took a lot of tracking down, particularly as the oak had to match the other joinery, but they have now become quite a stunning feature of the property.
When it came to the front door, this was bespoke, made from 70mm French oak and provided an elegant final touch to the house.
